Diversity Den Cafe has set up committees to assist with projects. All volunteers will be recognized on the website!! We would like each committee to consist of a minimum of two volunteers.

Note:
We can schedule conference calls and discuss issues, as needed. Therefore, volunteer do not have to be in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. All are welcome!!

MAILING LIST COMMITTEE

This committee will work weekly on maintaining the list from the website and other correspondence to make sure all members are aware of new clients that can contribute in being an asset to Diversity Den Cafe. This committee will work closely with the CEO and other constituents of Diversity Den to make sure all is being reached and informed. This committee will also work closely with the newsletter committee to make sure all patrons are getting information in a timely manner.

 

ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE

This committee will recruit “the next best thing” in the community and surrounding areas to be showcase and featured at the coffeehouse. We are looking for poets, spoken word and musical artist and comedians. This committee will be responsible for getting artist information for booking purposes for different events. You will encourage artists to join on the website.

 

ADVERTISING COMMITTEE

This set of people will work closely with the Marketing Consultant team and confer with the CEO on advertisements in the media, newspaper and other venues. The goal is to gain exposure for Diversity Den Café and the businesses we support via advertising This committee is looking for a journalist or someone who majored in journalism. Someone who writes for mass communications media is preferred but not necessary.

 

TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE

This committee will be a foundation for Diversity Den Cafe. This committee works on the website with the webmaster to update and improve the site to be more appealing and “catchy”. This committee is needed weekly for network updates and regular maintenance. Web design experience is preferred, but not necessary. Persons must be creative and forward-thinking.

 

MANAGERIAL COMMITTEE

These people are charged with the skills of managing all committee members while maintaining open communication throughout. People who possess 2 years of managerial and daily customer service experience of 10 people is helpful.

 

NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE

This committee is the heart of Diversity Den Cafe! Their goal is to make sure all events and up-coming information is in the newsletter for patrons. This committee will work closely with the mailing list committee and the CEO of Diversity Den Cafe because they comprise the soul of “The Den”.

 

LEGAL AND ADVISORY COMMITTEE

Legal/Advisory will consist of members with a working knowledge of legal matters and contract negotiations. Diversity Den Cafe will have patrons in and out of the establishment selling and showing the logo as well as providing information to help build business. This team needs to have strong communication skills, time management and organizational skills to help CEO. An attorney is preferred but not required.

 

FINANCIAL COMMITTEE

This committee will make efforts to save Diversity Den Cafe money and help invest money back into the business. This committee will be work with other financial constituents to make decisions with the approval of CEO for fund-raising, donations and other financial help in the community.
