Details for Store Manager
Job Purpose: Responsible for building sales and controlling costs to deliver optimum business results for all areas of accountability including daily operating procedures such as store accounting, inventory, cash-handling, staff development and employee supervision. Duties:
- Responsible for the overall store profit/loss versus store budget/projections. Provides P&L reports/projections, quarterly inventory reports, weekly labor reports and daily sales recaps to District Manager.
- Controls the day-to-day operations by scheduling & managing labor, ordering food products and supplies.
- Ensures OSHA, local health and safety codes and company safety and security procedures.
- Recruits, interviews, hire and develop employees. Responsible for conducting performance appraisals, coaching, counseling, motivating, retaining and developing the store team.
- Builds sales to meet and exceed store plan by utilizing marketing strategies along with community involvement.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Skills/Qualifications: Requires a high school degree or equivalent; 2 or more years prior retail management and sales experience; Business management experience including inventory management and P&L understanding; Excellent communication skills; ability to motivate staff; superior customer service skills.

Details for Assist Store Manager
Job Purpose: Assists the Store Manager to ensure that Diversity Den's service standards are met and surpassed by providing customers with prompt, quality coffee selection, preparation and assistance with accessories and purchases. This position performs the responsibilities needed to run the daily operating procedures such as store accounting, inventory, banking, staff development and shift supervision.
Duties:
- Greets customers and provides them with product and service information.
- Prepares a variety of customer orders such as espresso drinks, coffees of the day, pastries, etc., according to established company recipes and procedures.
- Maintains equipment and store appearance. Cleans tables, espresso machines, bar, floors, restrooms and building exterior according to established procedures.
- Receives and unpacks inventory, stock items, such as coffee, brewing equipment and accessories. Changes displays and merchandise appropriately and cleans and dusts displays regularly.
- Organizes store and staff functions in an efficient manner.
- Responsible for assisting with the overall store profit/loss versus the store budget. Provides P&L reports, quarterly inventory reports, weekly labor reports and daily sales recaps to District Manager.

Job Purpose: Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; selling coffee, accessories, and supplies; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.
Duties: * Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs. * Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino. * Generates revenues by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products. * Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar. * Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. * Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
